We are physician parents of 3 young children. We love and enjoy Chicago. This venture was started as a fun project for families like us who live in the city. We envisioned a wonderful playspace for children that was both educational and filled with fun physical activities. Before we knew it, our parents even moved from Michigan to Chicago to join this exciting venture, making this a true family adventure We started the project from scratch by purchasing the land in 2007 and building a 5 story building. We have opened the first 2 floors to the community as a resource for young families. We enlisted the help of a renowned children’s museum designer, to create an unique 2 story playspace where children can have fun, play, learn and interact with others. We seek to create a friendly neighborhood place where parents can mingle while watching their chidren enjoy themselves while learning. Our goal is active bodies and active minds.
Our mission is to make Explore & Much More a fun, educational, active and safe place for families to gather and grow together. There are permanent exhibits and several changing play choices. Make sure you explore every corner of our playspace because you will find new and interesting experiences that are unique to Northern Chicago area. We have tried to use as many earth friendly products as possible. For example, many of our toys are made from recycled material using nontoxic paints. We have used museum quality products for our “interactive family museum”. For parties we will offer stainless steel dishes. Stainless steel is BPA free and one of the most hygienic materials and is completely recyclable.
Parents, to make lives easier for you, we have designated a private space to host parties and classes. Our staff will take care of all your needs.
