1. Do you allow food and drinks in the playspace?
We don’t have food and drinks in the playspace for cleanliness and the safety of the children. We have separate areas where you can enjoy a snack or drinks. We appreciate your patience and hope that you will drink your java in our designated spaces.
2. Is there a time limit for playing?
No there isn’t a time limit. Admission is good for all day. You can come and go as you please. We have open play everyday but due to parties on weekends we have limited open play. We update our website weekly so that you can plan your weekend in advance.
3. Do we need a reservation?
We don’t require reservations. Between the two floors there is plenty of space. You are welcome to call us at 773-880-5437 and we can give you an idea of the number of children playing in the space.
4. Do you offer special rates for playgroups?
We love to host playgroups either on an intermittent or regular basis. We charge a reduced rate of $8.00 for groups greater than 10. During the afternoons we encourage playgroups between 3-5pm and charge $8.00 for groups greater than 8. Please email us at exploreandmuchmore.com or call us at 773-880-5437.
5. Is there parking available?
There is plenty of street parking on Southport, Grace, Wayne and the surrounding streets. There is a Blaine school self pay lot across from the Playspace that allows parking on weekends and school holidays.
6. Do you have field trips?
We love hosting preschool and kindergarten field trips. Children love our educational and engaging activities. We charge a discounted rate of $8.00 per child for the field trip. We work with you to schedule the trip during times when the playspace is either closed to the public or tends to be quiet. We have also held fund raisers for schools or donated a portion of the admission revenue to schools.
7. Answers to frequently asked party questions?
We provide all paper products including plates, cups, silverware, napkins and table covers for an additional $10. We have a cake server, pizza cutter, lighter, candles etc. We want to make life easy for you so you only need to order food and drinks (or we can even take care of that as well). You can bring balloons if you wish. We have 2 assistants that help with the weekend parties and 1 with the semiprivate option. We set up everything and clean up.
We recommend open play for 1 hour 20 minutes, eating for 15-20 minutes and then end with an awesome balloon drop.
There is a $100.00 non-refundable deposit to reserve a party.
